PRF vs PRP

PRF vs. PRP

PRF is used to address many of the same issues as PRP, but PRF releases growth factors for much longer, up to one week or more, versus PRP which releases growth factors for few hours. This means that PRF could have better longer-term benefits. The growth factors are what stimulate the stem cells to improve collagen and elastin in the skin. The platelets in PRF are thought to be more robust than those in PRP, and therefore promote faster healing.

PRF has several advantages over PRP. Mainly:

  • It doesn’t need thrombin and anticoagulants, making it 100% natural
  • It results in better healing due to its slow polymerization process, making it longer lasting
  • It helps in hemostasis, the first stage of healing
  • Growth factors in PRF are 3X the concentration of traditional PRP
  • PRP can be combined with other treatments for even greater improvement

We are utilizing PRF to improve results and efficacy of established treatments and increase duration of benefit.  We are introducing our Revive-SuiteTM of treatments for a variety of clinical indications:
